Virtual Retreat

The NOURISH Method™

Come together for a weekend retreat, facilitated live with Jolene Park

So, You Did The Hard Thing.

You quit drinking for good. Woohoo!

Or, you’ve been able to stay alcohol free for a stretch of time. Yay!

And yet, you can’t quite put your finger on why you haven’t felt the sustained magic that the social media influencers promised you’d feel.

EVEN THOUGH YOU’RE NOT DRINKING

→ You often feel pulled back to the old patterns you thought you’d broken.

→ You sense something is “off” or still missing in your body and brain, but you don’t know what it is.

→ You’ve realized there’s so much you didn’t know about your nervous system.

→ You’re beginning to recognize how much toxic stress or unresolved trauma has negatively impacted you over the years.

You want to learn all things neuroscience!

You’re not here because you’re searching for another mocktail recipe… you don’t like the extra calories from sugar anyway.

You’re also not here because you can’t get past the hurdle of socializing without a drink… you overcame that long ago!

Now that you’re well beyond the quitting drinking stage, you want something more profound. You’re the type of person who likes to go beneath the surface, especially when it comes to the intersection of physiology and neuroscience. Because let’s face it.

  • Life is still stressful.
  • Anxiety still pops up.
  • Things beyond your control are still happening around you.

Just because you no longer drink doesn’t mean you have the appropriate resources to support your body and life.

So Now What?

Meet your retreat guide – Jolene Park

I’m a functional nutritionist, health coach, entrepreneur, and small business owner with over 25 years of experience in the health and wellness field. In 2001, I founded Healthy Discoveries, a corporate wellness company. I’m also a TED speaker and a Gray Area Drinking expert. Most importantly, I’ve been alcohol-free for over a decade. I’ve stayed alcohol-free by finding and utilizing the best resources for a body-based healing approach.

If the echo chamber of recycled content and “manifesting your best life” through a 30-day Sober Curious Challenge leaves you feeling “over it” because you quit drinking months or years ago, you’re in the right place!

I’ve spent the last decade, specializing in coaching Gray Area Drinkers and training fellow sober coaches to help their clients replenish, rewire, and repair the body and brain after quitting alcohol.

My NOURISH Method™ is the only program that integrates physiology, neurobiology, and functional, integrative practices to create optimal health far beyond the first year of going alcohol free.

I’m Talking…

→ Resources to help regulate your parasympathetic nervous system.

→ Understanding how your brain works.

→ Immediate results for anxiety reduction.

→ Daily habits based on your biochemical individuality.

And Now, I’m So Excited To Introduce

the newest iteration to my extensive body of work

The Nourish Method™ Retreat

A body-first immersion that takes you from ‘feeling fine without alcohol’ to thriving!

The NOURISH Method™ is a live, virtual experience led by Jolene Park.

It’s an 8-hour weekend immersion, followed by three consecutive Saturday gatherings for ongoing support as you apply the practices in your daily life. This retreat is designed to help you learn and embody nervous system regulation and neurotransmitter balance through my NOURISH Method™.

What It’s Like Inside the Nourish Method™

“These are the missing pieces that everyone should know about when they decide to live a life without alcohol. Even though it’s been a few years since I stopped drinking, Jolene’s method and resources have had a great impact. I learned so much about the nervous system. All the work with neurotransmitters is fascinating. Identifying what you are deficient and dominant in and then eating and supplementing for your individual goals has made a tremendous impact on my life.”

The NOURISH Method™ Retreat:

A Neurophysiological Approach to Healing Your Craving Brain

Where Neuroscience, Functional Nutrition, and Somatic Practices Converge to Restore Your Body and Brain Post-Alcohol

Most alcohol free programs overlook what your biology needs to heal after alcohol. This retreat fills in the missing pieces with evidence-based practices that repair nervous system dysregulation, reestablish biochemical balance, and restore your capacity for calm, connection, and optimal healing.

For example…

Instead of focusing on one element of physical health, this retreat guides you through the interplay between all the pieces. We work with the whole body and cover all the bases.

Furthermore, the NOURISH Method™ Retreat is unique because it’s designed to support you once you’ve completed the initial work of getting sober.

This is not a stop drinkingresource: this is a start optimizingyour system, and discover what’s possible when you focus on more than what’s (not) in your glass.

What You’ll Learn

NOTICE NATURE

Recharge Your Inner Battery

Tap into nature’s regenerative power to restore your nervous system from the ground up. Some of the things we’ll cover include The Healing Power of Place, Seasonal and Hormonal Alignment, and a Circadian Rhythm Reset. OBSERVE YOUR BREATH

    Master Your Life Force

Did you know that your breath is your body’s hidden superpower? In this portion of the retreat, you’ll learn to use it with intention. We’ll talk about everything from Nose vs Mouth Breathing (the truth you NEED to know), Restore Your Vital Energy Force, and Build Your Window Of Tolerance with the help of breath. This will have you feel like you can breathe (and ultimately relax!) in a way you haven’t been able to access before.

      UNITE WITH OTHERS

      Rewire Through Connection

Connection is a biological necessity! In this segment, we’ll explore The Neuroscience of Safety and Belonging and talk about how to meaningfully Unplug To Reconnect with self. These are the practices that are going to stay with you and become the menu of possible reset buttons you can use in the future. Prepare to feel equipped!

        REPLENISH WITH FOOD

Fuel Your Mind, Boost Your Mood

Food is not just about calories; it’s about fuel. It’s time to learn to eat to fuel (and heal) your brain. By the time we’ve completed this section, you’ll learn how to Identify Neurotransmitter DeficienciesIntegrate Key Foods to Support Your Nervous System, and which genes are directing the show. The healing that comes from this information has been profound for participants (and me). I cannot wait to share it with you!

          INITIATE MOVEMENT

          Discharge Toxic Stress

You know you’ve got to move, but do you know which movements (beyond typical workouts) can be medicine for the central nervous system? I’m going to equip you with Key Somatic and Fascia Release Techniques to help you move the issues from your tissues. AND we’ll delve into Therapeutic Writing for brain-based physical therapy. Get ready to be inspired and feel free!

            SIT IN STILLNESS

            Soothe, Settle and Restore

Stillness is a portal to deep healing and rest. This section is going to give you all the information you need for Limbic System Repair, including tools that will help you to surrender into intentional rest. Have you dreamt of a sabbatical just for you? You’re about to receive some major permission to give it a try in any form that is accessible to you in this season of your life.

              HARNESS YOUR CREATIVITY

              Re-ignite Play & Purpose

Creativity helps your brain heal and build new neuropathways. As we wrap up the weekend, you’ll Activate Your Hope Circuitry, Engage  “ING” Activities, and Create Neurographic Art. It’s as cool as it sounds! This weekend isn’t just about being sober — it’s about neurological restoration.

“If you’re ready to heal not just your habits but your entire system, the NOURISH Method™ Retreat delivers the tools your brain and body actually require to thrive after alcohol.”

                ~Jolene Park

The Nourish Method™ Retreat is a live, weekend immersion that I run
a couple of times a year.

THIS IS NOT A MULTI-WEEK COURSE (ON PURPOSE)

Most online courses drag on for weeks (or months). They drip out content like a semester-long college lecture, which quickly loses momentum. And let’s be honest—who has time or space for another online course, anyway?

                  That’s why this is different.

It is delivered live over one immersive weekend, so you can fully focus, absorb it all in one cohesive experience, and walk away energized and motivated.

                  Then, the real magic happens:
You’ll spend the next 30 days integrating what you’ve learned — applying it, living it, and embodying it.

Because transformation is all about application and that’s exactly how this retreat is designed.

One weekend. Total clarity. Lifelong routines that stick!

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE LIVE RETREAT WEEKEND?

The weekend is just the beginning — everything takes root in the next few weeks.

As soon as the retreat ends, you’ll begin integrating what you’ve learned into your daily schedule. You’ll receive a curated list of the 30+ best practical tools and resources  — many of which you’ll have already experienced during the retreat. Plus, a list of my favorite books on the topics we cover during the retreat.

                  YOU’LL GET:
                  • A flexible 30-day integration blueprint — choose to focus on one resource at a time, rotate through them, or follow your intuition each day.
                  • Daily check-ins on our private group message app (off Facebook) for support, follow-through, and accountability.
                  • Live group calls the following two Saturdays for Q&A with Jolene, real-time feedback, motivation, and shared wins with others in the cohort.
                  • A final closing circle on the fourth Saturday to reflect, celebrate your growth, and (if you choose) stay connected with the group beyond the 30-day retreat container.

This isn’t a bunch of content to quickly gulp down and then set aside—it’s a structured, supported process that helps you live what you’re learning and make it part of your personal nourishment, your habits, and your life.

A COMMUNITY OF WOMEN WHO GET IT

This is a space for connection with like-minded, alcohol-free women in midlife who are deeply committed to their growth, well-being, and healing.

                  You’ll be surrounded by:

                  • Lifelong learners
                  • Healers, caregivers, and self-care seekers
                  • Women who’ve spent years supporting others — and are ready to support themselves

Whether you’re a nurse, therapist, physician, social worker, peer mentor, clergy, or simply someone holding it all together  — caring for kids with anxiety or ADHD, aging parents with chronic illness, or managing a whole household (or an empty nest or divorce) and career — this space is for you.

If you’re tired—emotionally and physically— from carrying the weight of everything over the years and now long for restoration, connection, and nourishment, you’ll feel seen and supported here.

And you’ll meet kindred spirits who understand your journey — because they’re on it too.

And heres what you can expect to shift when you go through the retreat experience:

Jolene’s NOURISH Method™ retreat is a game changer for anyone looking to break free from unhealthy patterns and build lasting wellness. I have been alcohol free for a few years and no longer crave alcohol. However, I still found myself overeating, overshopping, and over-scrolling just to soothe my craving brain.

Jolene’s retreat helped me to realize that these were symptoms of a dysregulated nervous system. Her depth of knowledge and wisdom in this space is truly remarkable. She does not just focus on quitting alcohol but provides a comprehensive understanding of brain health, nutrition, and the mind-body connection, helping participants restore balance and resilience.

Jolene’s approach is both science-based and deeply compassionate. She explains how neurotransmitters, stress response, and nutrition all play a critical role in cravings and emotional regulation. Instead of relying on willpower alone, she equips you with practical, targeted tools to support your nervous system and create sustainable change.

This experience goes far beyond traditional programs. It’s empowering, insightful and deeply healing. If you are alcohol free, this retreat will give you a holistic, nourishing way forward — it’s highly insightful, valuable and deeply healing.”

                  Count Me In!

Here’s another taste of what it’s like inside one of my retreats

“I was a part of Jolene’s NOURISH Method™ retreat in February 2025. It was a game-changer for me. In July 2022, I started my alcohol-free journey because I knew it was time to make a change. One of the greatest struggles I had was feeling alone in the journey and not having the language or the ability to explain to anybody, or even myself, why remaining alcohol-free was important. I also did not understand why it was so difficult because I did not quit due to ‘hitting rock bottom’ or alcohol causing me significant difficulties in my life.

Jolene provides a great deal of information in the NOURISH Method™ retreat that teaches why we drink alcohol and what we can do to soothe our nervous systems without alcohol to feel calm, balanced, and happy.

Jolene provides a number of techniques that focus on various aspects of wellness, and encourages us to try them, so we can see what works best for us individually. Her teaching style is very down-to-earth and individualized, even in a group setting.

Since the retreat, I have felt much more confident that I can remain alcohol free, and I continue to implement and experiment with the skills I learned during the retreat.

I encourage anybody who is struggling with understanding the reasons why we drink and why it’s so hard to quit for good to join Jolene’s NOURISH Method™ retreat. The time and financial investment are absolutely worth it.”

                  The Stats Are Clear:

Midlife can bring a lot of extra weight – mentally and physically. Most women are quietly running on empty.

This isn’t about adding more to your to-do list. It’s about learning how to truly replenish your system — physiologically, emotionally, and neurologically — with tools backed by science and rooted in lived experience.

Before you go, let’s get one thing straight

                  →  Quitting drinking is amazing.

It’s fantastic when you choose not to put alcohol in your body.

But quitting drinking is just… quitting drinking.

It’s not a panacea for everything life keeps throwing at you, and (since you’re here) I suspect you already know that.

You’ve Already Done The Hard Thing.

Now you need to learn how to regulate your nervous system to deal with anxiety, and learn how to work with your circadian biology for better sleep, and optimize your brain function with the right food, and so much more!

These are the real-world, practical things that take you from living a life thats free of alcohol to living a life thats full of health, connection, and fulfillment. If this resonates…

                  Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from your Gray Area Drinking Coach Training and private coaching with individuals?

This retreat is unlike anything I’ve offered before. It brings together a decade of insights, experience, and cutting-edge research—all in one immersive experience. Since I quit drinking in 2014, the science around brain health and alcohol-free living has evolved rapidly, and that’s precisely what I’m sharing with you in this retreat.

Like my previous work, everything is rooted in physiology—because that’s where the neuroscience resides, and that’s where I continue to hang my hat. However, the discoveries continue to emerge, and this retreat reflects the latest and most exciting developments.

If you’re craving a deeper dive into brain science, this experience is for you. We’ll roll up our sleeves and explore the powerful role of the circadian clock and how to align it to support long-term brain health and longevity. You’ll discover how understanding neuroplasticity and the brain’s “hope circuitry” can increase your motivation to stay alcohol-free—and help you protect your brain for life.

You’ll receive specific food, supplement, and lifestyle protocols to boost your neurotransmitters (plus a quiz to identify your potential deficiencies). You’ll also gain a treasure trove of nervous system practices designed to increase heart rate variability and tone the polyvagal nerve.

We’ll explore the important role of nature, movement, creativity, human connection, targeted breathing techniques, and food as medicine—all of which support the gut-brain and heart-brain connections.

This is real-time, experiential learning. You’ll get the science and the tools—and most importantly, the chance to apply it all in your daily life. You’ll be able to ask Jolene questions, learn from others, and engage with the material in a supportive, interactive environment.

Should I just take this instead of your coach training?

This retreat is designed for individuals seeking practical applications to nourish their body, brain, and life. It is not a coach training or licensing program. If you’re looking to use my physiology-based approach with clients or in your coaching groups, you’ll need to apply for my official coach training here.

My NOURISH content, resources, and this unique format that I’ve designed for this retreat are not to be copied, adapted, or incorporated into your coaching program or materials. The NOURISH Method™ is the result of my research, creative design, and years of experience—it is my intellectual property. If you’re a coach, please create your own content tailored to your audience; do not lift or repackage mine.

I’ve taken some online sober courses from others in this space and read a lot of quit-lit, so I’m not sure if I need this.

Science has advanced at a rapid pace in recent years, particularly in the fields of brain health and alcohol free living. I’ve stayed on the frontlines of this emerging research, studying, testing, and integrating new findings into my own life and my clients’ lives throughout the past decade. What I’m teaching in this retreat wasn’t available back in 2014 when I first quit drinking.

These insights aren’t just relevant in the early days of sobriety—they’re essential for sustaining optimal health months and even years after you stop drinking. That’s why I’ve pulled them together into one comprehensive, science-backed experience.

Many online courses and “quit lit” books are created by individuals with backgrounds in corporate marketing, sales, or advertising, rather than in health or clinical fields. While they’re good at branding and repackaging content, what’s often lacking is the clinical experience and education essential for a comprehensive understanding of health-related issues.

That’s what sets this retreat apart.

I bring over 25 years of experience in health science and functional nutrition, including training and practice. I don’t just teach the what—I explain the why in a way that’s engaging, empowering, and designed for real-world application. My specialty is designing powerful adult learning experiences that break down complex research into simple, actionable steps. You’ll not only learn the latest neuroscience—you’ll experience it.

Over 30 days, you’ll experiment with 30+ resources—“30 ways in 30 days”—all grounded in neuroscience, physiology, and evidence-based strategies. You’ll also have direct access to me to help you apply these tools in real time. Your body and brain don’t change just by thinking or talking about new ideas. Change happens through experimentation, action, and integration. That’s exactly what this retreat is designed to help you do.

What kind of nervous system techniques will you be sharing in this training?

I’m sharing all my Healthy Discoveries from Neurotransmitter Balance, Functional Nutrition, Circadian Biology, Biochemical Individuality, Polyvagal Theory, Hormone Optimization, Gut Micobiome, and Neuroplasticity. All the good stuff ; )

I’m on the fence. How exactly is this different from other online courses?

You’ll walk away with a robust menu of tools and practices that you’ll want to keep using long after the retreat ends. Throughout the experience, you’ll identify your keystone resources—the ones that align with your unique biochemistry and make a real difference in areas like sleep, metabolism, mood, and overall well-being.

One of the questions I get asked most often is: “What nervous system regulation techniques do I use in my own life?” In this retreat, I’ll show you. You’ll gain access to the toolkit I rely on—tested, science-backed techniques that truly work—and you’ll learn how to make them your own.

I really want to learn what alcohol does to my brain and body. Is this the course for me?

Yep! You’ll learn how alcohol interacts with toxic stressors—from people, places, and things like excess sugar, too much screen time, and too much hustle with no downtime. We’ll break down what actually happens to your brain and body when you’re exposed to these stressors in high doses over time. This isn’t just theory—it’s the real science behind why you feel drained, anxious, foggy, or off-balance, and what you can do to reverse it.

This sounds so interesting. I’d love to sign up, but alcohol was never a struggle for me. I rarely, if ever, drink. I just want to do everything I can to be healthy, and your program sounds amazing. Can I join?

Yes—absolutely. I designed this retreat for people just like you.

It’s for lifelong learners and curious seekers who are passionate about health and wellness and appreciate an integrative approach to living well, both in terms of health span and life span. If you want to understand what your body and brain need and want to thrive, not just get by, this retreat is for you.

One important note: This is a 30-day alcohol-free immersion. That means no drinking during the entire retreat. If you have a big event coming up and think you might feel awkward declining an alcoholic drink, or you want to reserve the option of having an “every now and then drink” with your spouse etc, this isn’t the right fit at this time. All participants are expected to be alcohol-free during the entire retreat. That shared commitment is key to alignment and cohesiveness for both the individual and the group experience.

I’m a couple of weeks/months into not drinking, can I sign up for this?

Everything we cover in this retreat is the physiological foundation you need—not only in the early months after quitting drinking but also for years beyond your last drink. I’ve been alcohol free for over a decade, and I use these techniques and insights every day to stay on track and avoid other unhealthy habits now that alcohol is out of the picture.

This retreat isn’t about quitting drinking. It’s about repairing, replenishing, and rewiring your body and brain well beyond your last drink. We live in a world filled with a 24/7 news cycle, hustle culture, toxic stress, unresolved trauma, and emotional wounds. Even though you have alcohol free time under your belt, life will throw curveballs. Having the right tools and healthy resources is essential to navigating those inevitable stressers. This retreat provides exactly that.

That said, if you’re looking for conversation and support to stop drinking, this retreat isn’t the right fit. The conversations and participants in this immersion will be beyond the acute phase of quitting drinking.

I honestly get a little overwhelmed by the technical words (like circadian biology, neuroplasticity, amygdala hijack, etc). I’m worried I might feel lost in this material.

I get it—that’s exactly why I created this retreat. I geek out on the neuroscience, and yes, some of this material can get pretty heady. But here’s the good news: I’m skilled at breaking down complex topics into simple language, vivid metaphors, and practical stories that make learning easy and even fun.

More importantly, I inspire you to put these concepts into practice, because rewiring your brain isn’t about theory—it’s about action. I know how to help you get results quickly, which keeps you motivated to stick with it.

Most people don’t know how to teach “adult learners,” but I’ve been facilitatiing corproate wellness workshops since 2004—helping adults improve their health and well-being. I began studying nutrition 25 years ago, in 1999, and I remain committed to lifelong learning. My college degree is in Speech Communications, with an emphasis on group facilitation and public speaking, so I know how to design programs that deliver both the information and the results you’ve been searching for, but haven’t found elsewhere.

How much nutrition is covered in this program?

A lot. I will incorporate and provide you with many nutrition specifics.

I’d love to learn this material so I can share it with my neurodivergent child or teenager who struggles with ADHD, anxiety, aging parents, or spouse who is burning the candle at both ends. Can I do that? Or do you recommend they sign up separately?

Putting the oxygen mask on yourself first is my motto for this experience. The more you can regulate and create a healthy state for your body and brain, the more your family members will pick up on it (whether you say something to them or not). If you are struggling, or your children, spouse, or parents are struggling, when you get healthier, they will too. There are many great gems within this retreat to share with family!

Perimenopause/menopause has been a considerable struggle since I quit drinking, will you address that during the course?

Ooh! You’re in luck. We will spend some time on the four cycles that women go through every month. Whether you’re currently menstruating or not, the female body moves through four biorhythms every 28 days. When you understand how to work with those physiological rhythms and which hormones are associated with various neurotransmitters, it will help you stay away from maladaptive substances like alcohol and sugar.

I won’t be able to attend the event live on the dates you’re offering. Can I just watch the recordings?

I have another commitment scheduled for the weekend of July 12. Can I get the summer special rate for a future retreat?

I look forward to seeing you at the fall retreat!
